In anticipation of the THSO's 1812 Overture LIVE concert on November 4th, THSO Fourth Horn, Layne Anspach, will lead a presentation in collaboration with the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI). This session will provide attendees with a rich overview of historical and contextual information about the concert's repertoire, enhancing the live performance experience. The repertoire includes Richard Strauss’ "Don Juan" and "Death & Transfiguration," Eric Ewazen’s "Down a River of Time" for oboe and orchestra, and culminates with Tchaikovsky’s iconic 1812 Overture in its entirety.

As Yanni’s solo trumpeter since 2008, Carder has performed all over the world as well as record four live DVD’s. A native of Charleston, South Carolina, Hunter graduated from Louisiana State University in 2021 with a Bachelor's degree in Music Education. He is a student of Craig Knox of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.
