Showcasing the talent of nearly 80 of Liverpool’s brightest young orchestral musicians, the orchestra will take you through highlights of the orchestral repertoire, including smaller chamber performances led by the talented young musicians.

Join us for an unforgettable evening with the Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra as we present "Sounds of Cinema" on Saturday, May 18, 2024, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Union Colony Civic Center, located at 701 10th Avenue, Greeley, CO, 80631. Join Worthing’s professional orchestra for their annual foot-stomping, hand-clapping, finger-tapping celebration to herald in the New Year. This concert is designed to banish the gloom of winter with a feast of uplifting tunes, making it an upbeat and joyous event. The New Year concert features the music of the Strauss family and their contemporaries, traditionally Viennese in flavor with familiar waltzes, marches, and polkas.

Music Director John Gibbons is known for adding a few surprise ingredients to the musical menu, ensuring a delightful experience. The Strauss family, including Johann Strauss Sr. and his sons Johann Jr., Josef, and Eduard, are celebrated for their prolific contributions to light music. Expect to hear favorites such as The Blue Danube Waltz, Thunder and Lightning Polka, and Radetzky March.
