Pacific Symphony Youth Concert Band, under the direction of Angela Woo, concludes their second season. The program opens with Flourish for Wind Band by Ralph Vaughan Williams and includes pieces inspired by Gaelic and Cajun folk songs.

The Pomona College Band, directed by Graydon Beeks, is one of the oldest college bands in the country, and was founded in 1909. It is the concert band for The Claremont Colleges and is funded by Pomona College. The band’s membership is drawn from students, faculty and staff of The Claremont Colleges, and members of the local community. For this concert, the ensemble will perform music by Gustav Holst, Gordon Jacob, Karl Kohn, Philip Sparke, and others.
