"Millions" is a world premiere musical that promises to be both hilarious and heartwarming, directed by the acclaimed Bartlett Sher. Based on the novel and film by Frank Cottrell Boyce, the story revolves around two brothers, Damien and Anthony, their newly-widowed father, a train robber, and what might be considered a miracle. After the loss of their mother, the brothers find themselves in a moral quandary when a duffel bag full of cash literally falls from the sky. Damien believes it to be a miracle from their mother, meant to test their goodness, while Anthony knows the truth behind their sudden windfall.

This award-winning musical, celebrated for its captivating original score, unfolds in the picturesque setting of Brucemore’s Peggy Boyle Whitworth Amphitheatre, promising an unforgettable experience under the stars.

Set in the summer of 1953 in Florence, Italy, the story follows Margaret Johnson and her daughter Clara on their vacation, where a chance encounter leads to an unexpected romance. However, hidden truths await to be discovered, weaving a tale of love, secrets, and the complex bonds of family. With its operatic melodies and profound narrative, "The Light in the Piazza" is a testament to the enduring power of love and the beauty of second chances.

Performances are scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m., with the venue opening at 6:45 p.m. for parking and seating arrangements. Tickets are priced at $25 for students and $39 for adults, inclusive of a $7 processing fee. Special discounts are available for TCR subscribers and Brucemore members.
