Join us for an extraordinary afternoon of classical music featuring the renowned guitarist Craig Ogden. This eagerly anticipated event will showcase Ogden's exceptional talent as he performs two concertos: Vivaldi's hugely popular Mandolin Concerto and Malcolm Arnold's Guitar Concerto, a piece celebrated by many guitarists for its intricate and expressive qualities. Arnold's concerto is particularly notable for its second movement, "Blue Scherzo," a tribute to the legendary jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt.

The program also includes Haydn's Symphony No. 30 in C major, known as the "Alleluia Symphony" for its use of a Gregorian Alleluia chant in the opening movement. This symphony, possibly written for Easter Sunday of 1765, reflects Haydn's masterful composition skills at the age of 33.

The concert will conclude with Mozart's Symphony No. 41 in C major, K551, famously known as the "Jupiter Symphony." This grand and majestic piece is Mozart's last and longest symphony, often hailed as one of the greatest symphonies in classical music.
