Mezzo-soprano Diana Moore has created her own tribute to one of the most beloved of all English singers who acquired – and more than 70 years after her death, retains – an international following.

Join us for an enchanting evening of vocal music as Paula Perez-Glassner, a talented soprano from the Northwestern Bienen School of Music, presents her student recital. Scheduled for Sunday, May 5, 2024, at 6:00pm CDT, this performance will take place in the intimate setting of the McClintock Choral and Recital Room, located within the Patrick G. and Shirley W. Ryan Center for the Musical Arts.

Under the guidance of her instructor, Nancy Gustafson, Paula will showcase her vocal prowess through a diverse repertoire. The evening will feature a selection of works ranging from the baroque elegance of George Frideric Handel's "L’empio rigor del fato" from Rodelinda to the contemporary charm of Mark Adamo's "Joy beyond measure, Mother" from Little Women. Join us for an unforgettable evening of music at Shriver Hall as we present the acclaimed tenor Ian Bostridge, accompanied by the masterful pianist Julius Drake, in a performance that promises to be a highlight of the Shriver Hall Concert Series. This special event, part of The Helen Coplan Harrison Concert, will take place on Sunday, March 09, 2025, at 5:30 pm.

This concert is endowed by the sons of Dr. Helen Harrison, a long-time Shriver Hall Concert Series Board member, in her honor. It reflects the series' commitment to presenting performances of the highest caliber in a venue known for its acoustics and intimate setting.
