Our annual schools’ concert is back - join us for an interactive, whistle-stop tour of new music and composition!  


London Sinfonietta musicians and the Sound Out Young Ensemble explore how to compose and create new music, led by presenter Patrick Bailey. Listen to pieces by living composers, join in with the performance and hear new work by young people who have taken part in our Composition Challenges programme.

With a programme packed full of well-known music, this fun and interactive concert is the perfect way for all the family to discover great music and experience the exciting sounds of a live symphony orchestra.

Featuring music from well-known composers such as Mendelssohn, Berlioz and Wynton Marsalis, excerpts from iconic pieces such as Pictures at an Exhibition, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and a little nod to the Wizarding World with music from Harry Potter.

We're thrilled to be taking Sound Out on tour! Join us for an interactive, whistle-stop tour of new music and composition! 

Conductor and Presenter Patrick Bailey will be joined on stage by six London Sinfonietta musicians and and young musicians from WEMA Western Winds and Bridge Strings as they explore compositions which have been written by composers living today, including the premiere of new work by students at St. Andrew's CE VC Primary School.

Sound Out 2024

The JUNGLE FIRE sound is a deep foray into Afro/Latin Funk with an approach that is authentic and highly explosive! The Los Angeles-based TropiFunk juggernaut pulls its influences from the music of legends such as Irakere, Ray Barretto, James Brown, Fela Kuti and Manu Dibango (just to name a few) while creating a melting pot of Afro-Caribbean and West African rhythms with heavy breakbeat funk.
