These Rhode Island rockers roared onto the music scene in 1980 with two hit singles, “Wild Summer Nights” and “Tender Years”. It wasn’t until they were asked to record the soundtrack to the movie Eddie & the Cruisers that they found international success. The soundtrack album contained the hit song “On The Dark Side”. Though the movie never became a blockbuster hit, it enjoyed a resurgence once HBO began showing it in heavy rotation. Cafferty went on to supply songs for more movies including Cobra, Rocky IV and Something About Mary. In early 2023 they announced that a new album is coming soon.
