Sing-Along Messiah

Knox United Church

Karl Hirzer’s fall residency with the SSO wraps up as he returns for Handel’s Messiah.

Handel’s Messiah

A more laid-back affair, this performance features the same great soloists as the night before, and a mass choir featuring you! It’s sure to shake the rafters.

After her phenomenal Messiah performance last season, Maestra Cosette Justo Valdes returns to the SSO’s Messiah.

Cosette Justo Valdés has led orchestras in her home country of Cuba, in Europe, and now, lucky for us, in Canada. Her unique style and contagious amounts of energy bring new and refreshing interpretations to every performance. She leads the SSO and Chorus in the Canadian premiere of Marianna Martines’s Dixit Dominus.

Podium Partner Karl Hirzer returns to the intricate music of Handel for a third year in a row. If you had a chance to see the SSO and Chorus led by Hirzer in previous seasons, you know we’re in for a special treat.

With an all-Saskatchewan line of soloists and the SSO Chorus, we continue our favourite tradition where you get to join in the chorus.

Sing-Along Messiah is dedicated to the memory of longtime SSO chorus member and friend, Kathleen Brannen.
