The music of Louise Farrenc is seeing something of a renaissance in recent years, and her Sextet for wind and piano reveals a distinctive compositional voice. André Previn’s Trio reveals his wide-ranging musical interests, with jazz rhythms to the fore in its rambunctious final movement.
