This award-winning concert experience brings to life the stunning orchestral suites inspired by the video games FINAL FANTASY VI, VII, and X. Under the baton of conductor Andreas Hanson, with the virtuosic Mischa Cheung on piano, audiences are in for an unforgettable evening of epic soundtracks that have captivated fans worldwide.

The repertoire for this groundbreaking event includes Nobuo Uematsu's "Opening Fanfare," the "Final Fantasy VI Symphonic Poem Born with the Gift of Magic," the "Final Fantasy X Piano Concerto" by Nobuo Uematsu and Masashi Hamauzu, and Nobuo Uematsu's "Final Fantasy VII Symphony in Three Movements." These pieces promise to transport listeners through the rich and complex worlds of FINAL FANTASY, rendered with the full power and depth of a live symphony orchestra.

"Final Symphony" is scheduled for two performances: the first at Usher Hall, Edinburgh, on Friday, 8 November 2024, at 7.30pm, followed by a performance at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, Glasgow, on Saturday, 9 November 2024, at 7.30pm. Tickets are priced between £19.00 and £65.00, with a 50% discount available for attendees under 26, under 18, patrons with a disability, mature students, and the unemployed.

This concert is not only a celebration of the music from FINAL FANTASY but also a testament to the creative vision of Thomas Böcker, who created, directed, and produced the event in collaboration with Merregnon Studios and with licensing from Square Enix. Experience the magic of FINAL FANTASY like never before as the full 80-piece City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra brings to life the unforgettable music from FINAL FANTASY V, VIII, IX, and XIII. These soundtracks, known for their tense, atmospheric, and emotionally charged compositions, have captivated gamers and music lovers alike, proving that the power of music in the epic saga of good versus evil remains undefeated.

The concert will feature a full program including works by composers Valtonen, Hamauzu, and Uematsu, such as "In a Roundabout Way: Fanfare," "FINAL FANTASY XIII: Utopia in the Sky," "FINAL FANTASY IX: For the People of Gaia," "FINAL FANTASY VIII: Mono no aware," and "FINAL FANTASY V: Library of Ancients." Under the baton of conductor Eckehard Stier, with Mischa Cheung on piano, this performance promises to be an unforgettable journey through the realms of FINAL FANTASY.

Tickets are priced between £26 and £59, with a per-ticket commission of £3.50 included for tickets priced over £15. Attendees can also take advantage of multi-buy discounts, and reduced ticket prices are available for students, 18-30s, under-18s, and benefit recipients. The concert will last approximately 2 hours, including a 20-minute interval.
