With a book by Joseph Robinette and music and lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, "A Christmas Story" captures the essence of 1940s Hohman, Indiana, through the eyes of Ralphie and his family. This production, authorized by Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures and Dale Entertainment, promises to deliver all the iconic moments and characters from the film, wrapped in a musical score that resonates with both young and old.

Join the London Symphony Orchestra for an unforgettable evening at the LSO Discovery Showcase, set to take place at the Barbican on Thursday, 13 June 2024, at 7:30pm. This concert promises to be a celebration of innovation and creativity, featuring nearly 200 performers from the LSO's community and educational programmes, alongside the world-renowned orchestra itself.

The evening's repertoire includes John Adams' exhilarating "Short Ride in a Fast Machine," the poignant "You Will Be Found" from the hit musical Dear Evan Hansen by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, and "Can You Hear" by Jim Papoulis, in addition to original compositions by LSO Discovery Groups. Under the baton of conductor Karen Ní Bhroin, the concert will also showcase the talents of LSO On Track Next Generation, LSO Discovery Junior and Senior Choirs, and LSO Connect, making it a vibrant showcase of the future of music.

The concert is set to conclude at approximately 9:30pm, with timings subject to slight changes. Before the concert, from 6pm, attendees can immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the Barbican Foyers, enjoying performances and installations by Discovery groups.

Tickets are available for purchase online at lso.co.uk or barbican.org.uk, by phone, or in person at the Barbican Centre, with a £4 booking fee per transaction for online or phone bookings. Special discounts are available, including £5 tickets for under-18s and savings for groups of 10 or more. Barbican Access Members can avail of free companion tickets, and a limited allocation of tickets is also available for NHS staff through Tickets for Good.

What is the story?
