A dedicated educator, David Zerkel began his performing career as a member of The United States Army Field Band and The United States Army Band and is a former President of the International Tuba Euphonium Association. At LSU, he presents a mixed program of classic and contemporary works for tuba, featuring composers such as Tomaso Albinoni, Richard Strauss, Jean-Michel DeFaye, and more.
