Tubist

Quintasonic Brass is a touring brass quintet made up of professional brass players from around the United States. Their mission is promote chamber music for brass instruments through creative programming, recording projects, promoting new works, and educational outreach. Its members include Vince DiMartino (International soloist), Jason Dovel (University of Kentucky), Matthew Haislip (Mississippi State University), Alex Van Duuren (University of Tennessee), and Alexander Lapins (University of Tennessee).

Alexander Lapins, Associate Professor of Tuba/Euphonium at the University of Tennessee (Knoxville), comes to LSU to perform a recital of works by living composers, including Andrew Sigler's All Glass is Slowly Flowing, Skye van Duuren's Thoughts on the Death of a Tree, and more.
