Reflections on love languages. Human concepts of love and romance, as well as the complicated and sometimes messy emotions associated with them, have remained the primary basis of inspiration for artistic expression throughout history. Music and dance in particular, have been most popularly used in courtship and conveying adoration toward a partner. This concert will explore the love languages of music and dance that came about in the 1920s and 30s, when tango first burst into the mainstream. Classical guitarist, Krzysztof Meisinger will present an audibly stunning interpretation of some of the most famous tango pieces ever written.

The Circle Wind Concert is held annually to commemorate 9.11 tragedy in 2001 and 3.11 tsunami/earthquake disaster in 2011 in northeast Japan. Turkish & International Music Ensemble will be featured as a main guest and the concert will take place under the theme of "Music Heals : United for Turkey" to support people in Turkey who suffer from the devastating earthquake in last February killing over 50,000 people. Circle Wind Chamber Ensemble, Circle Wind Boys & Girls Choir and Japan Choral Harmony "TOMO" will also join the concert.

Welcome to an incipient concert in the borderland between the classical and the folk with oboist Henrik Goldschmidt as soloist. The concert is the second of two on DUEN's first summer project. Before the concert, DUEN holds rehearsals in the Garrison church and plays for the opening concert at the Schubertiaden in Roskilde. We are looking forward to once again returning to the Garrison church, which has become DUEN's permanent rehearsal and concert location in Copenhagen.

An Intimate Evening of Chamber Music

An original repertoire for trombone and piano, ranging
between the eighteenth and twentieth centuries. A dialogue between two solo instruments, each with its own particular aroma, which go at times to merge in an alternation of delicate timbres and broad, marked sonorities, of rhythmic pulsation and expressive warmth.
While the role of the piano as a solo instrument is universally
known and recognized, that of the member of the family
of brass is much less so. However, there is a specific literature
combining the two instruments since the 18th century. Reviewing styles and languages from different eras, the program aims to analyze this repertoire up to the height of the twentieth century. The alternation between pieces for trombone and piano and pieces in which the two instruments are separated composes this interesting mosaic of sounds, colors and... flavors.
