Experience the intensity and drama of Giuseppe Verdi's masterpiece, "Rigoletto," at the Santa Fe Opera from July 12 to August 20, 2025. This compelling opera, a co-production with Irish National Opera and Opera Zuid, unfolds in the court of the Duke, where intrigue, lust, and betrayal lead to unforeseen tragedy. The jester Rigoletto's desperate attempt to protect his daughter from the Duke's advances sets off a chain of events filled with vengeance and heartbreak.

The opera, sung in Italian with instant translation screens in English and Spanish, promises an unforgettable experience over approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes, including a 25-minute intermission. The story is brought to life by a talented cast, including baritone Gerardo Bullón as Rigoletto, soprano Elena Villalón as Gilda, tenor Duke Kim as the Duke, bass Stephano Park as Sparafucile, and mezzo-soprano Marcela Rahal as Maddalena, under the baton of conductor Carlo Montanaro and direction by Julien Chavaz.
