A series of chants, rants and songs reflecting the silliness, severity and anxieties of skin color. Performed by a chorus of harmonizing floating heads, Paul Pinto’s funny inner dialogue on self-identification is dizzily designed by Kameron Neal.

Whiteness

A fantasia inspired by E.M. Forster’s A Passage to India, PASSAGE is set in the fictional Country X, which is a neocolonial client of Country Y. B, a local doctor, and F, an expat teacher, begin to forge a friendship that is challenged after a fateful trip to a local attraction. The play is a meditation on colonialism, friendship and what it means to be an outsider. It also explores the tension between individual freedoms and community responsibility in a world where these concepts are often seen as mutually exclusive.
