The concert opens with Claude Debussy's "Prélude à l’après-midi d’une faune," a symphonic poem that vividly captures the dreamy reverie of a faun. Following this, Kaija Saariaho's "Lichtbogen," a piece that transcends traditional orchestral boundaries by incorporating computer technology, offers a modern twist on instrumental music.

Esa-Pekka Salonen's "Elegy" from "Kínēma" adds a cinematic dimension to the program, with its emotional depth and sincerity. The night concludes with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 27, K. 595, featuring Mitsuko Uchida as both the piano soloist and director. This piece masterfully blends the soloist and orchestra, providing a fitting end to the evening.

The concert will also showcase the talents of Vicente Alberola on clarinet, José Maria Blumenschein as concertmaster & leader, Johannes Lörstad leading for Debussy, and Aliisa Neige-Barrière conducting Saariaho, all under the banner of the Mahler Chamber Orchestra.
