As part of Maestro Stilian Kirov’s vision to encourage the development of new musical voices, Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra is the proud home of IPO Classical Evolve, aimed at expanding the canon of classical music for current and future generations. Beginning in 2023/24, IPO has partnered with Earshot, a program of the American Composers Orchestra, in partnership with the League of American Orchestras, American Composers Forum, and New Music USA. Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra will rehearse, perform and record select upcoming compositions for orchestra, offering selected participants the opportunity to collaborate with world class mentors Jessie Montgomery and James Stephenson, both established orchestral composers and industry leaders.
