**Maya and the Magic Ring at the Lyric Opera of Kansas City**

Dive into a world of enchantment and whimsy with the Lyric Opera of Kansas City's latest family opera, "Maya and the Magic Ring." This captivating new opera tells the story of Maya, a young girl who stumbles upon a magical ruby ring among her grandmother's possessions. When she rubs the jewel, a genie emerges, setting off a series of chaotic events as Maya's innocent wishes bring her cat and toy unicorn to life. Faced with the consequences of her wishes, Maya must make a wise choice for her final wish.
