A member of the Boulanger dynasty sets the stage for a contemporary tribute and the distinctive voice of Jessie Montgomery intersects with the legacy of Leonard Bernstein in a work that illuminates and inspires.

American icon Joan Tower honors the strength of women, dedicating her Fanfare to Tania León. Tania León in turn celebrates her vibrant Latin American cultural heritage in Tumbao. The fabled merry prankster of lore, Till Eulenspiegel gets a playful reimagining for mixed quintet and the confidence and vigor of youth are captured in Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s Nonet for winds, strings, and piano.
