Each year, the All-Star competition provides Music Department students with the opportunity to audition for the privilege of performing as soloists with the UCLA Philharmonia, the school's flagship orchestra. Join us for a remarkable evening of music and celebration at the "Celebrating Black Excellence" concert presented by CityMusic Cleveland Chamber Orchestra. This special event will take place on Sunday, October 22, 2023, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at St. Sebastian Parish, located at 476 Mull Avenue, Akron, OH, 44320, United States.

The concert will feature an introduction by Jim Mehrling, highlighting the exceptional pieces selected for our October orchestra series. This event is dedicated to celebrating the contributions and talents of Black composers and musicians, featuring performances by soloists Travis Guillory, Elizabeth Hanje, Benhur Mosazghi, and Daniel Gilbert.
