Join us for the grand finale of the Louisville Orchestra Creators Corps (LOCC) residency at Creators Fest on May 9th at Whitney Hall. This remarkable event marks the culmination of a year-long journey during which LOCC’s three resident creators—Baldwin Giang, Brittany J. Green, and Oswald Huỳnh—have passionately crafted brand-new musical works exclusively for the Louisville Orchestra and our vibrant Louisville community.

**Event Highlights:**
- **World Premiere Compositions:** Be among the first to experience the extraordinary compositions by Baldwin Giang, Brittany Green, and Oswald Huynh. These pieces are a testament to the innovative spirit of LOCC, reflecting the diverse perspectives, stories, and inspirations of our resident creators.
- **Pre-Concert Activities:** As part of the coffee series, come early and enjoy a complimentary Heine Brothers Coffee and a pre-concert talk hosted by 90.5 WUOL before the performance begins.
- **Conductor:** Teddy Abrams will lead the orchestra, bringing his visionary leadership to the stage.

Under the creative passion and musical exploration of the Louisville Creators Corps, Creators Fest promises an exciting exploration of artistry and originality. The Louisville Orchestra introduced the groundbreaking LOCC program in the 2022-23 season, deeply integrating artists into both the orchestra and the city of Louisville, making it the only program of its kind.

The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts

Dwell Together takes its name from Psalm 133: "How pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity." It’s the final line from Leonard Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms, which will be presented in conversation with the Pittsburgh premiere of Joel Thompson’s powerful The Seven Last Words of The Unarmed, Julia Perry’s heart wrenching Stabat Mater, and other choral works.

Toulmin Commissioning Consortium: American Composers Orchestra and League of American Orchestras have established a 30-orchestra consortium to support commissions by 6 women and nonbinary EarShot alumni. Each composer will write a 6–8 minute orchestral work and develop an educational or community-focused program presented in partnership with each orchestra.

Manhattan School of Music

Renowned Swiss ensemble Lugano Percussion presents a concert of music for large percussion by leading Swiss and Italian composers. They are joined by soprano Rose Hegele (M.M. '18) and percussion soloist Matt Sharrock (M.M. '11 and instructor of core studies), performing two previously unheard pieces by beloved Boston composer William Thomas McKinley.
