The Royal Danish Orchestra’s chamber concerts present celebrated masterpieces alongside rare gems of the chamber music repertoire. Throughout the season, the orchestra’s musicians perform chamber concerts in the historic theatre setting of the Old Stage. Prepare to be mesmerized by a program filled with blues and jazz standards, alongside original compositions, all brought to life by the incredible vocals of Thomasina Petrus and the vibrant sounds of the Selby Avenue Brass Band. The lineup for the evening includes Larry Sims and Gerard Ahlgren on trumpet, Marilyn Parker on saxophone, Chris Fulton on trombone, Nathan Norman on drums, and Tom Wells on tuba, who also serves as the composer and arranger for the group.

The evening's program features an eclectic mix of music, including pieces like "Elder Funk" and "I See the Latin in You" by Tom Wells, "Bring it Back" by Catherine Russell/Brownwick, "Take Me To The Alley" by Gregory Porter, and classics such as "Saint James Infirmary Blues" and "Summertime" by George & Ira Gershwin/Dubs Heyward, among others.
