Join us for an enchanting evening of saxophone music performed by the talented Isaac Boone, a Bachelor of Music student under the guidance of Taimur Sullivan. This recital is set to take place on Friday, May 3, 2024, at 8:30pm CDT in the intimate setting of the McClintock Choral and Recital Room, located within the prestigious Patrick G. and Shirley W. Ryan Center for the Musical Arts at Northwestern University.

Isaac Boone will showcase his exceptional skills through a diverse program that includes works by Georg Philipp Telemann, John Anthony Lennon, Fernande Decruck, Alex Mincek, and Steven Banks. Accompanied by Nathan Canfield on piano, the evening promises to be a memorable one, featuring pieces such as Telemann's Fantasia No. 7 in D Major, TWV 40:8, and Decruck's Sonata in C-sharp Minor, among others.

Longy’s Divergent Studio presents a program featuring the works of award-winning composer Alex Mincek, performed by festival participants hailing from all over the U.S., as well as New York City-based new music chamber group, loadbang. Highly nuanced, Mincek’s music “is primarily concerned with creating musical contexts in which diverse sound worlds seemingly coexist,” finding the unity within disparity.
