Guitarist

The 2023 Miami International GuitART Festival presents Colombian/American guitarist Carlos Serrano who was a prize winner of the 19th Annual FIU Concerto Competition. The program features works by Latin American composers Lucas Saboya, Jorge Morel, Frantz Casseus, Mauricio Marques, and Gentil Montana.

The FIU guitar alumni Felipe Carvajal ('15) and Carlos Serrano ('15) will present a program of duo works, including Valses poéticos by Enrique Granados, Cinema Paradiso by Ennio Morricone, Porro para dos guitarras by Gentil Montaña, Agua e Vinho and Palhaço by Egberto Gismonti, among others.
