Winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Rent is a groundbreaking rock musical that follows a group of young artists navigating life, love, and loss in New York City’s East Village. As they fight for justice and visibility during the AIDS crisis, they find strength in the bonds of friendship and chosen family. Fueled by raw emotion and a powerful fusion of rock and theater, the show explores what it means to hold on to hope and community in uncertain times. With its profound message of joy and resilience in the face of adversity, this timeless musical—based on Puccini’s opera La Bohème—reminds us to measure our lives with the only thing that truly matters: love. Bold and unforgettable, Rent is one production you won’t want to miss.

When four self-obsessed Broadway stars hear that Emma, a student in a small conservative Indiana town is barred from bringing her girlfriend to their high school prom and that the media is involved—they seize the opportunity to put a spotlight on the issue…and themselves. In their bumbling attempts to enact change, they make the situation worse than they could have imagined. Cultures clash and the town erupts in chaos, leaving Emma’s future and the actors’ careers hanging in the balance. Winner of the Drama Desk Award for Best Musical, The Prom captures all the humor and heart of a classic musical comedy with a message that resonates with audiences now more than ever.

Cabaret takes audiences deep into the seedy nightlife of the Kit Kat Club on the eve of Hitler’s rise to power in Weimar Germany. Led by the enigmatic and dazzling Emcee, Cabaret is an intoxicating theatrical experience that follows the interlocking stories of a cabaret singer, a writer from America, and the denizens of Berlin as they are caught up in the swirling maelstrom of a changing society.

We are excited to introduce Spotlight on Cabaret: a benefit to support the School of Theatre + Dance, Saturday, October 22. This new event to replace Splendor will offer a pre-show reception to exclusively meet the director and performers, enjoy refreshments and libations, preferential seating, and the excitement of the live musical production of Cabaret! We are offering year-round opportunities to support the School of Theatre + Dance and are shifting to “Season Sponsors,” wherein you will be listed as a sponsor in the program the entireacademic season!
