Guitarists Lulo Reinhardt and Yuliya Lonskaya present their first recording together. Piece of Soul is a celebration of several musical styles, embracing ‘gypsy meets classical’ and featuring new arrangements of iconic classical guitar works and several world premieres too.

Lulo Reinhardt, the grandnephew of Django Reinhardt, has toured the UK several times in the past decade. While Lulo has the repertoire of gypsy swing you might expect, he has extended and developed his musical horizons beyond that, with music from North Africa and India influencing his playing. Now with Yuliya, he moves towards classical music.

International Guitar Night is the world’s premier touring guitar festival, bringing together the most interesting and innovative acoustic guitarists for special evenings of guitar solos, duets, and quartets. Celebrating 22 years of sweeping showcases, the specially selected artists for the evening will be acoustic rock sensation Luca Stricagnoli (Italy), progressive classical guitarist, Thu Le (Vietnam), Slack Key master Jim Kimo West (Hawaii), and Latin Swing pioneer Lulo Reinhardt (Germany).

For our 25th annual tour, Brian Gore has assembled a lineup of 3 exciting new guitarists making their US debuts to join one of IGN’s all-time favorites.  LULO REINHARDT (German) is well known to IGN audiences.  The grand-nephew of legendary Django Reinhardt, Lulo plays Latin Swing music, a combination of Gypsy Swing with Latin rhythms.  ALEXANDRA WHITTINGHAM is a dynamic classical guitarist with a repertoire ranging from the classics to contemporary composers.  NIWEL TSUMBU has kept his unique Congolese percussive style alive over the past twenty five years living in Ireland.   SOENKE MEINEN is a leading Contemporary Fingerstyle guitarist, mixing the incredible dexterity of his high-speed compositions with sensitive ballads.
