A concert in cooperation with Berliner Festspiele / Musikfest Berlin. We are delighted to continue our collaboration with Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg and EuroArts at this year's Big Band concert as part of the Musikfest Berlin! ‘Jazz de Paris’ at the Philharmonie Berlin will be broadcast live on ‘radio3’ and will subsequently be released on CD and digitally on all major streaming platforms.

Composer Simeon ten Holt’s signature minimalist style in “Bi-Ba-Bo” intermingles with Vivaldi’s Baroque score in The Ballet Master which centers around the choreographic process. This new and complex work can only be characterized by Tharp’s signature technical precision and wit.

‘Jacques Brel Is….” Presents the music and storytelling of the famous Belgium singer/songwriter and activist, Jacques Brel.  Borrowing from the famous off-Broadway show, “Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris,” English translations by Eric Blau and Mort Shuman, Brel’s music and poetry which was so popular during the 60’s and 70’s during the time of the Viet Nam War and the struggle for Civil Rights, are as relevant today as they were then.  With humor, passion, biting wit and arrangements by Jim Rice, Music Director, this is a night not to be missed!

A French Salon showcases the spectacular artistry of multi-award-winning US jazz musicians – singer Cécile McLorin Salvant and pianist Dan Tepfer – as they explore their French heritage over two unforgettable nights at The Grange Festival. Produced by 23Arts for the Festival, the show will also feature special guest pianist Thomas Enhco and the much-loved Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.
