Carabosse, ruler of the underworld, the Roots, Weeds and Thorns, and the Lilac Fairy, ruler of the upper world with its Flowers, Sky and Sun, struggle with the memories of an impossible love. Neither can live in the space of the other but, united through a child whom they each struggle to possess, a beautiful new blossom is formed.

Sleeping Beauty is one of the world‘s most famous classical ballets and holds a place in the repertoire of virtually every major company. After more than 25 successful years, Ballet Jörgen created their own unique classical ballet rendition with its World Premiere Tour during the 2015-2016 season. The new ballet tells the enchanting story of Aurora and her prince complete with its inherently magical qualities and dazzling choreography.

In this program, the company will present highlights from its newest full-length ballet, Anne of Green Gables – The Ballet® along with other popular company works. Anne will transport audiences to early 20th-century Atlantic Canada to follow the adventures of Anne Shirley, an orphan girl sent to live on a farm in the fictional town of Avonlea, Prince Edward Island.
