Percussionist

The Canadian recorder virtuoso leads a group of Baroque specialists in trio sonatas by the German composers. Vincent Lauzer is one of the finest recorder players on the international early music scene. Following up on his lovely video concert in 2021, he will appear live on our New York stage, presenting a program of works by J.S. and C.P.E. Bach alongside music by Georg Philipp Telemann. Vincent is joined by Risa Browder ~ violin and viola, Wade Davis ~ violoncello and viola da gamba, and John Walthausen ~ harpsichord.

Hailed for his athletic and virtuoso playing and for his sensitive interpretations, recorder player Vincent Lauzer leads an active career as a performer, artistic director, and teacher. He is the artistic director of the Lamèque International Baroque Music Festival, the youth development program coordinator for Arion Baroque Orchestra, and the co-artistic director of the Montreal Baroque Festival.
