Dancing  Dutch  brings together four choreographers who, despite their different origins, are all rooted in our country and celebrated their first major successes here. For the first time, the National Ballet will dance a creation by Jiří Kylián , the choreographer who gave Nederlands Dans Theater international success for more than thirty years. In addition, this program includes a masterpiece by the Netherlands' most famous choreographer, Hans van Manen , and premiere ballets by Associate Artist David Dawson and Young Creative Associate Milena Sidorova .

The story of Odette, who is transformed into a swan and who must be rescued by Prince Siegfried from the clutches of the magician Redbeard, has everything it needs to be a hit: a magical setting, a love story that overcomes all boundaries, deception and betrayal, and a dramatic or - depending on your taste - open ending. Based on the emotionally expressive and haunting music of Peter Tchaikovsky, the choreography by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov (1895) has become the epitome of classical ballet.

Hollywood in the 1920s. A new, exotic and opulent film is being produced in the dream factory. The subject: La Bayadère - the story of the beautiful temple dancer, which was celebrated at its premiere in St. Petersburg in 1877, is to find its way onto the cinema screens of the world. Everyone is working with great enthusiasm to ensure the success of the project, which is believed to be certain. The aim is to help the tragically beautiful story, set in ancient India, achieve international brilliance in the cinemas of the 1920s.
