Composers craft these pieces with specific friends in mind, sometimes including parts for themselves to play within the ensemble. This tradition of gathering with friends to perform and listen to music is a testament to the deep connections formed through the art of music-making.

The concert will feature a selection of pieces that exemplify the spirit of friendship and collaboration, including the "Piano Trio in G Minor, Op. 26" by Antonin Dvořák, performed by Nadia Wirchnianski (piano), Asa Church (violin), and Ann Balderson (violoncello). The program also includes works by Josquin Des Prez, Thomas Ford, Hubert Waelrant, Thomas Morley, Pierre Passereau, and a collection of Miniatures for Woodwind Quintet by William Grant Still, showcasing the talents of Crystal Duffee (flute), Tamara Byram Mahl (oboe), Elizabeth Matera (clarinet), Thomas Wood (bassoon), and Bianca Sierra (horn).
