Picnic in the concert meadow and enjoy the Oscar- and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical score brought to life in concert by a full orchestra, soloists, and chorus, conducted by Christopher Ray. Set in Oklahoma in 1906, the musical depicts a love story between a farm girl and a cowboy and the growing rivalry between the cowboys and local farmers.  The musical is the first written by the famous duo of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein, and features well-loved tunes including “Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin” and “Oklahoma”.

Joining the previously announced Phil Dunster (Ted Lasso) as Curly and Zizi Strallen (Mary Poppins) as Laurey are Christina Bianco (The Rise and Fall of Little Voice) as Ado Annie, Jordan Shaw (Les Misérables) as Will Parker, five-time Olivier Award nominee and two-time Olivier Award winner Joanna Riding (Sondheim’s Old Friends and Carousel) as Aunt Eller, Tosh Wanogho-Maud (The Drifters Girl) as Jud Fry, Irvine Iqbal (The Witches) as Ali Hakim, Nicole-Lily Baisden (Anything Goes) as Gertie and Sebastien Torkia (Guys & Dolls) as Andrew. The evening will feature the incredible talents of soprano Karen Slack and tenor Issachah Savage, bringing to life favorites from the American canon, including works by Gershwin, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Ellington, and more. The program not only highlights songs written for the Broadway stage but also includes orchestral works from the 1930s and ’40s by African-American composers such as Duke Ellington, William Dawson, and James P.
