"Pictures at an Exhibition" is a masterpiece originally composed by Modest Mussorgsky for piano, inspired by the drawings and watercolors of his dear friend Viktor Hartmann. The symphonic version, orchestrated by Maurice Ravel, brings to life the vibrant and evocative imagery through the power of the orchestra, culminating in the majestic "Great Gate of Kiev."
