Immerse yourself in the captivating world of opera with the Fondazione Teatro Borgatti's itinerant production of "Tosca," Giacomo Puccini's timeless masterpiece. This unique event, set against the historical backdrop of Cento, promises an unforgettable experience on May 30, 2024, at 8:00 PM. 

"Tosca" will unfold in three acts, each performed in a different, historically significant location within Cento, offering spectators not just an opera but a journey through time and space. The journey begins at the Basilica Collegiata di San Biagio, a baroque church with Renaissance influences, rich in art, setting the scene for the opera's dramatic first act. The narrative then moves to the Monumento ai Caduti, a monument reminiscent of Rome's imperial grandeur, for the second act, and concludes at the Rocca di Cento, a fortress that will serve as the setting for the opera's climactic finale.

This innovative production features a stellar cast, including Rosanna Lo Greco as Floria Tosca, Vincent Romero as Mario Cavaradossi, and Alberto Bianchi Lanzoni as the villainous Baron Vitellio Scarpia, among others. The performance will be enriched by the Coro di voci bianche del Teatro Comunale di Bologna, the Coro lirico sinfonico di Parma e dell’Emilia Romagna (COLSPER), and the Orchestra Città di Ferrara, all under the baton of conductor Aldo Salvagno. The direction by Giorgio Zecchi, set designs by Alessandro Ramin, and costumes by Franz Moser promise to bring Puccini's vision to life in an unprecedented manner.
