Eugene Izotov, holding the David Weiss Faculty Chair in Oboe, is celebrated for his luminous beauty, lyrical gold, and fiery Russian temperament. As the principal oboist of the San Francisco Symphony and with a history of principal positions in the Chicago Symphony and the Metropolitan Opera, Izotov brings unparalleled experience and knowledge to the masterclass. His accolades include top prizes at solo competitions worldwide and collaborations with leading orchestras under the batons of renowned conductors.
