Iranian-American musician Mahan Esfahani is a harpsichordist for the 21st century. With a lifelong determination to bring his instrument the modern-day prominence it deserves, he combines scholarly insights with dazzling drama in his performances of music old and new. He is the winner of several prominent awards for his playing, including the Wigmore Medal from Wigmore Hall, London.

Join us for a festive celebration at the Poinsettia Pops concert, presented by the Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra, on Saturday, December 2, 2023. The evening promises to be a memorable one, starting with the semi-annual Magic Baton Melody Contest, featuring a winning composition from a Greeley-Evans School District 6 middle school student. Following this, the concert will showcase an array of holiday classics performed by the Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra, alongside the Greeley Chorale and Greeley Children’s Chorale.

The repertoire for the night includes a mix of timeless pieces and festive arrangements, such as the FIXMER Melody Contest Winner, Tchaikovsky's Music from the Nutcracker, and traditional carols arranged by Powers, Nicholson, Bradford, and Rutter, among others.
