The highlight of our 2023/24 season is the much-anticipated Edmonton premiere of Wagner’s Das Rheingold, an epic opera that sets the stage for the legendary Ring Cycle. This adaptation by Jonathan Dove and Graham Vick, orchestrated by Jonathan Dove, will be performed in German with English surtitles, offering an accessible entry into Wagner's complex mythological world.

Das Rheingold introduces audiences to the ultimate battle for power, initiating the journey through The Ring Cycle's fantastical landscapes and deep into its mystical drama. For the first time in Edmonton, and in celebration of our 60th anniversary, we invite you to experience the awe-inspiring world of Das Rheingold, brought to life by a talented cast and creative team.
