Trumpet player and composer Terell Stafford leads this vibrant ensemble, uplifting some of the music’s youngest practitioners alongside organ master and composer Akiko Tsuruga. Having refined a deeply personal sound rooted in the lineage of blistering soloists, Tsuruga performs across the world, leading bands that have featured Lou Donaldson, Frank Wess, Houston Person, Harry Allen, Louis Hayes, Carl Allen, Akira Tana, Joe Magnarelli, Jeremy Pelt, and Peter Bernstein, among others. Don’t miss an evening of tight arrangements and inexhaustible interplay.
