Join us for an enchanting evening of violin mastery as Lucy Kim takes the stage on Monday, May 6, 2024, at 6:00pm CDT in the Regenstein Master Class Room at the Bienen School of Music. As a Master of Music student under the tutelage of Gerardo Ribeiro, Lucy is set to captivate the audience with her exceptional talent and passion for music.

The evening's program promises a journey through the ages with a selection of pieces that showcase the violin's versatility and depth. The repertoire includes Antonio Vivaldi's Sonata No. 2 in A Major, RV 31, a piece that embodies the essence of Baroque music with its intricate melodies and harmonies. Following this, the audience will be treated to Johannes Brahms' Violin Sonata No. 2, Op. 100, a work that captures the romantic spirit with its lyrical themes and rich textures. The finale of the concert will be Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D Major, Op. 35, a masterpiece known for its technical demands and emotional expressiveness.

Accompanying Lucy on this musical journey will be Liang-yu Wang and Angeline Ma on piano, adding layers of harmony and depth to the performance.

Although tickets are not required, seating in the Regenstein Master Class Room is limited, so early arrival is recommended.
