Join us for an enchanting afternoon of oboe music featuring Cedar Turner, a talented Bachelor of Music student under the tutelage of Robert Morgan. This recital is set to take place on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at 2:30pm CDT in the Regenstein Master Class Room at the Bienen School of Music, Northwestern University.

Cedar Turner will be performing an exquisite selection of pieces, showcasing the versatility and beauty of the oboe. The program includes Brian Raphael Nabors' Sonata for Oboe and Piano, Ruth Crawford-Seeger's Diaphonic Suite No. 1, Alyssa Morris' Shine, and Claude Arrieu's Suite en quatre, arranged by Louise-Marie Simon. Accompanying Cedar on this musical journey will be Haylie Wu on flute, Mingyao Liu on clarinet, Justice Gardner on bassoon, Blake Parker on vibraphone, and Kay Kim on piano.

This event is free and open to the public, with no tickets required. For those unable to attend in person, a live stream will be available, ensuring you don't miss out on this remarkable performance. The Regenstein Master Class Room, located in the Regenstein Hall of Music adjacent to the Ryan Center for the Musical Arts, offers seating for 200 and is a premier venue for hundreds of performances each year.
