In this composition, Yun also creates a symbiosis of Western European and Korean musical traditions, which is what makes his work unique. Karl Amadeus Hartmann composed a warning with his Concerto funèbre, written after the annexation of the Sudetenland in 1939: He sensed that even darker times lay ahead.
