This special performance celebrates the illustrious career and musical leadership of conductor Mallory Thompson, who is retiring from her Director of Bands position after 28 years of dedicated service at Northwestern University.

The evening's program is a tribute to Thompson's mentorship and artistry, opening with her arrangement of the Prelude to Act III, Dance, and Finale from Wagner’s "Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg," dedicated to her teacher and mentor Donald Hunsberger. The concert will also feature a selection of wind ensemble favorites, including Ben Horne's "Deep River," J.S. Bach's "Toccata and Fugue in D Minor" arranged by Donald Hunsberger, and culminating with David Maslanka’s monumental "Symphony No. 4."
