Alfie Jackson is a New York City based vocalist/guitarist, mentored in Chicago by G Thomas Allen, Margaret Murphy-Webb, Kurt Elling and the Jazz Institute. This six-piece are her regular group in town, even though the talented individual members currently live all over the country. Jackson recorded her debut album “The Peacocks” (Jackojazz) with the sextet back in 2023 and that release received rotation on WDCB, WNUR and Neil Tesser’s show in San Diego.

Sean Deegan, a Bachelor of Music student under the guidance of Robert Dixon, will showcase his exceptional skills alongside a remarkable ensemble. The lineup includes Eli Sullivan and Ernie Wang on alto saxophone, Abram Collier on baritone saxophone, Jackson Spellman on trombone, Shanth Gopalswamy on guitar, Austin Aldrich on bass, Chase Wilkins on drums, and Dylan McGaharn on piano.

The evening's program features an array of original compositions by Sean Deegan, including "Adam’s Apple" (arranged by Wayne Shorter), "Hot Sauce," "Third Time Around," "Peach Salad," and "It’s Friday, Be Happy," among others. Additionally, the performance will include a special arrangement of Frank Foster's "Shiny Stockings" by Sean Deegan, promising a night filled with innovative jazz renditions.
