Duo concerts of epic proportions takes place in the Joe Henderson Lab, as Bay Area singing treasure The Dynamic Miss Faye Carol performs with a trio featuring pianist Joe Warner and bassist Essiet Essiet along with one of the most influential drummers of the modern era, Dennis Chambers.

A native of Meridian, Mississippi, Carol moved with her family to Pittsburg California while she was a child, and sang at local blues clubs through the 1960s with East Bay greats like Johnny Talbot, Eddie Foster, and Johnny Heartsman. Reinventing herself as a cabaret artist and a powerhouse jazz singer in the 1970s to the present day, she’s collaborated with luminaries including Pharoah Sanders, Robert Randolph, Gary Bartz, Houston Person, Billy Hart, Buster Williams, Bobby Hutcherson, Eddie 'Cleanhead' Vinson, and Charles Brown.
