This new commission sets the stage for Edward Elgar's choral masterpiece, "The Dream of Gerontius," based on Cardinal Newman’s poem. The work narrates the journey of an old man's soul from his deathbed to his final reckoning with God, showcasing Elgar's profound musical expression of the human soul's journey.

Featuring acclaimed soloists Jennifer Johnston (mezzo-soprano), Daniel Norman (tenor), and Roderick Williams (baritone), the performance promises an evening of emotional depth and sublime music. Daniel Norman takes on the moving title role, with Jennifer Johnston as the Angel guiding him, and Roderick Williams as the Priest.
