One of the most inventive voices on the scene, Ben Wolfe brings a profoundly swinging quartet to Dizzy’s Club. Last year, the bassist, composer, and consummate band leader issued his critically acclaimed release Unjust; this summer, he releases The Understated, an album of original material that spotlights subtle nuances and an intimate urgency in his artistry. Presenting driving pulses and tender ballads, this four-night event invites listeners of all ages to experience ensemble playing at its most compelling.

One of the music’s youngest practitioners, pianist and composer Brandon Goldberg has achieved notoriety from JazzIz, DownBeat, and London Jazz News, as well as ASCAP when he became the youngest recipient of the Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composer Award in 2022. His Dizzy’s Club set delivers swinging repertoire — beloved standards and original tunes — alongside two of the music’s most artful improvisers, Ben Wolfe on bass and Aaron Kimmel on drums.
