Long admired for her fiery precision and her easy lyricism, violin virtuoso and beloved artist, Elly Toyoda will join the PVSO performing Saint-Saens’s acclaimed Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso. Setting the stage is Mexican composer Silvestre Revueltas’s iconic symphonic poem Janitzio, which describes Janitzio Island in Lake Pátzcuaro, before closing with Mozart’s ever-jubilant Jupiter Symphony.

Mozart's tale of consequence for a cruel, conscienceless man gets a sexy, contemporary, darkly comedic update in Domme & Giovanni. Anna, the most desired and respected domme in town, has built her life around getting revenge on Giovanni, the local Mafia Don, and the man who killed her father. She teams up with Elvira, an FBI Agent who has centered her career around bringing Giovanni to justice. Leporello has made a life-supporting Giovanni through thick and thin but dreams of quiet retirement. And Giovanni stands at the center of it all, including the mythos he has built inside his mind.

La Voile

Flute virtuoso and Latin Grammy-nominated artist Giovanni Perez will join the PVSO in performing his brand-new flute concerto. Long admired for his improvisations and melodic gift, the orchestra is excited to be part of the creation of Perez's first-ever flute concerto!  One of the most well-known tone poems depicting the bustling landscapes of Rome, Respighi's colorful orchestration promises a real treat together with Nigerian-American composer Fela Sowande’s Folk Symphony, written for the independence of Nigeria, and inspired by the rich musical heritage of the country.
