Join us for a spectacular evening of jazz as the Atlanta Jazz Festival presents "WCLK at 50" at the Atlanta Symphony Hall. This special event, set to take place on May 24, 2024, celebrates the golden 50th anniversary of WCLK Jazz 91.9 FM, honoring the station's legacy and Atlanta's vibrant jazz community.

The concert will feature the incredible talents of award-winning drummer Lil John Roberts, who will lead an Atlanta All-Star Band. The lineup includes renowned musicians such as Phil Davis, Rodney Edge, Tres Gilbert, Derek Scott, Miguel Gaeten, Melvin Jones, Joe Gransden, Kebbi Williams, Jamel Mitchell, Mike Burton, Saunders Sermons, and Daniel Wytanis. Additionally, attendees will be treated to special guest performances by Kathleen Bertrand, Cleveland Jones, Rhonda Thomas, Imani Grace-Cooper, Julie Dexter, Tony Hightower, Dashill Smith, and Alexandra Jackson.

Narrator Jon Goode will enrich the evening by weaving in stories about the history and legacy of WCLK, with Lil John Roberts serving as the concert’s Music Director. The event is co-produced by Jamal Ahmad, Lil John Roberts, and Ray Cornelius.

Prepare for an exhilarating 90-minute musical journey that will highlight some of the most endearing jazz music from the 1930s through today. Audiences can expect classic songs like "Maiden Voyage," "I Got Rhythm," "So What," and "Take 5," alongside modern compositions such as "Watermelon Man," "Everybody Loves The Sunshine," "Dominoes," and "Rise."
